B1929 CH300 Bellanca Pacemaker recently restored by John Pike with Big Sky crew Jeremy and Brian. The history of the Bellanca's final days in the North country of Alaska is well known but few are aware they also pioneered the north country of Canada. 

The stories of the pioneering aviators who dared take on the "Barrens" of the Canadian Artic northland are legendary. Everything East of the McKenzie River was a Glacial wasteland where the compass didn't work and temperatures dropped down into the minus 50's but the lands were rich in minerals prompting early exploration by aircraft.

The Bellanca is now based in Norman Wells, NWT on the McKenzie river. There are no roads into Norman Wells. The bush airservice owner will use the aircraft as a living memorial to the heroism of those early pioneers.
